Common typefaces ensure a consistent thread runs through all communications.
Printed brochures, exhibitions, displays and popups
ITC Franklin Gothic is the main typeface used for all printed materials, exhibitions, displays, and three-dimensional applications such as signage, livery, clothing and merchandise.
ITC Franklin Gothic BAES Demi Condensed
Used for titling, subheadings, quotes and pull outs. Use capitals only. ITC Franklin Gothic BAES DmCn is a special version of the Demi Condensed capitals and should be used in all materials.
ITC Franklin Gothic Std
ITC Franklin Gothic Std Book and Medium can be used for titling (signage, for example), but are generally used to support the BAES Demi Condensed for all other type levels including text and captions. Use italics if appropriate.
Arial
For those that do not have access to Adobe InDesign, Arial can be used for items produced using the MS Word templates available for creating internal, low level posters or flyers.
Stationery and PowerPoint
Arial is the system typeface and is used for all MS Office applications including Word and PowerPoint.
Digital and online
Please refer to the Digital Media Team for digital and online specifications.
Newsletters
BT Geometric Slab Serif 712 is used as the text face for BAE Systems newsletters only. Do not use it in other materials.
Saudi Arabia
For titling, use AXT Manal Black or Nawal. For text, use AXT Manal Regular or Medium. This also applies to newsletter and press ads. Lubna is used for banner titles and POS. If you have any questions contact the Brand Champion for BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
Downloading the fonts
A zipped file containing the approved weights of ITC Franklin Gothic can be downloaded from the Our Brand website. Please note that external users will need to purchase a separate licence from www.fonts.com
